Mal (Mr Chapman senior) and I have been gigging together for 20 years and are well versed in how to get a place going. Picture the scenario, if you will:

• I start off with an easy-going, laid back acoustic set to ease you and your esteemed guests into the spirit of the evening.

• Pops then arrives with a flourish on stage, armed with a Fender Stratocaster. I put down my acoustic guitar and replace it with the bass and we kick-start the dancing with some classic rock tunes.

• We polish the evening off with the Soundbite disco. From Motown to Saturday Night Fever, from Eightees’ cheese to Kylie and Oasis, we’ve got pretty much most bases covered.
